SRC Invites your Child to get ready for School with our new group:
Ready, Set, Learn!
So often, the start of the new school year is a mix of anticipation, excitement, and nerves which impacts a child’s ability to smoothly transition from a summer routine to a more structured academic routine. This new group will offer children going into grade school a chance to work on school-based skills to help ease the transition back to school. There will be two, week-long intensives to help children learn the skills they need to have a successful start to the school year.
Small groups will be offered to support a child’s readiness to get back in the swing of things for school. Each week-long camp will cover the following skills using holistic occupational therapy techniques
● Attention
● Emotional and sensory regulation
● Fine motor skills
● Social skills
All group facilitators will be licensed occupational therapists with experience in school skill development, sensory processing, and regulation tools.
