The Family Center

The Family Center at Sasco

Being a parent is an amazing experience, but it can also be incredibly challenging. The Family Center at Sasco, understands the pressures and difficulties that parents face, and we’re here to help.

The truth is that every family’s journey is unique, and there is no one-size-fits-all solution to the challenges families face. That’s why our team of marriage and family therapists offers a range of personalized support options to meet your family’s needs.

Why Focus on the Family?

Significant progress often comes from strengthening and empowering the entire family, whether as an alternative to individual support for your child or in addition to it. By focusing on these dynamics, we can enhance the well-being of both your child and the entire family.

The Family Center at Sasco is your landing pad for comprehensive support, guiding you through the challenges of family life and strengthening all aspects of the family system.

What The Family Center Offers

Marriage and Family Therapy

Our therapists address the behavior of each family member and their impact on the family system. The primary goal is to improve family functioning by offering individual and couples therapy to support parents, and work with the broader family to enhance communication and foster healthier relationships.

Parent-child Interaction Therapy

PCIT is a behavioral training program for parents of 2- to 7-year-old children with oppositional and disruptive behaviors. Through live coaching, therapists guide parents using a two-way mirror and earpiece, focusing on play therapy and discipline skills. PCIT helps parents strengthen positive parent-child interactions, improve cooperation and behavior, and decrease parenting stress.

Parent Coaching

Our parent coaching services, available in-office or via telehealth, offer short-term guidance on effective parenting strategies. Whether one or both caregivers participate, coaching provides action plans for ongoing success, much like having a personal trainer or mentor to support through the challenges most parents face. You are not alone!

Parent Lecture Series

We offer a free parent lecture series from September through June via Zoom, providing valuable insights and strategies to support your family throughout the lifespan journey.
