While teaching art, Loren realized the inherently therapeutic and safe quality of the art room. As the music played, and her students created everything from pottery to sculpture to paintings, she noticed the deep connections and interactions that took place more naturally than anywhere else.

Loren believes in the power of art as an emotional shorthand for children and adolescents and has seen art therapy help a multitude of both adult and child clients. Loren honors the uniqueness of each individual and uses a client-centered / humanistic approach, incorporating CBT, ACT and DBT in
her approach to treatment.
