Emily believes that the key to successful treatment in occupational therapy is through a play-based approach, building a strong connection, and developing a child’s skills to increase their confidence and independence with all the most important parts of being a kid! She also believes that collaborating with families, teachers, and other providers in the child’s life is a vital part of moving towards a child’s goals and success.
Emily has been dedicated to providing children and their families with the tools and support to foster independence in their most valued activities for over 3 years. She has worked with children from age 2-14 with sensory processing disorder, general developmental disorder, ADHD, and ASD, to target regulation, fine motor skills, gross motor coordination, and functional skills. Emily has advanced training in DIR Floortime, Integrated Listening System (ILS), and Handwriting Without Tears.
Emily loves travel and photography and is always thinking about the next time she can combine these two passions. In her day-to-day free time she enjoys walking, listening to music, baking, and spending time with family and friends.
