Taylor Agate, PhD, is a post-doctoral fellow at Sasco River Center with a focus on pediatric neuropsychology. Originally from Philadelphia, he earned his Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from the College of William and Mary, graduating magna cum laude. Taylor went on to receive his Master of Science in Psychology from Drexel University in 2016, and he completed his Doctor of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Neuropsychology from the University of Victoria in 2024. For his predoctoral internship, he was the neuropsychology resident at the CPA-accredited Edmonton Consortium Clinical Psychology Residency. His major rotations included neuropsychological assessment across various age groups, covering pediatric brain injury, adult epilepsy and movement disorders, and geriatric neurocognitive disorders (e.g., dementia). He also completed minor rotations providing psychotherapy to youth and adults with chronic medical conditions.
Beginning with his first practicum where he conducted psychoeducational assessments, Taylor has experience in neurodevelopmental disorders and accompanying psychosocial challenges, including trauma and OCD. He uses a holistic, biopsychosocial approach to understand each child and their individual needs. Ultimately, Taylor strives to help disadvantaged children reach their full potential, providing them and their families with recommendations for support and a hopeful path forward.
